Surveying & Recording

Our volunteers regularly submit records to the Kent & Medway Biological Records Centre (KMBRC) via iRecord and iNaturalist. These sightings build a clearer picture of the local ecosystem.

We carry out regular:

  • Bat monitoring

  • Nesting bird surveys

  • Reptile tracking

Recent finds include the return of red kites and protected European polecats to Tenterden — species not recorded here for decades.

If you’d like to submit a sighting to KMBRC, it’s a simple process and you can find out more here.
