    News for Pet Owners

Researchers at Imperial College London have reviewed the impact of ‘spot-on’ treatments sold in the UK for dogs and cats to prevent or kill fleas or ticks.

They found that one monthly flea treatment for a large dog contains enough pesticides to kill 25 million bees.

Pet owners should talk to their vets about what is best for their pets, what's safe for the environment and whether such regular preventative treatments are needed. Read more.

    Vote for Us

We're delighted to be up for a Tesco Community Grant, but we need your help by using your blue tokens to vote for us every time you shop at the Tenterden Tesco store.

The Grant will enable us to work with more young people to enable them to value their surroundings, improve their health and wellbeing and help conserve the natural environment of Tenterden.

    Creating a Wilder Kent

Wilder Kent Awards recognise and reward communities that are restoring nature. We have been working with Kent Wildlife Trust to engage towns and villages to take part in creating a wilder Kent and to apply for the 2024 awards. In partnership with Kent Wildlife Trust, we have helped to create this awareness video.

    Positive Wildlife News

We were delighted to hear the announcement of two new laws that will protect and support British wildlife.

Hedgerows, which provide vital habitats, are to be protected by law.

Legislation now demands that all new building developments must leave the environment in a better state than it was before, with a 10% net gain increase in biodiversity.

Make a difference today.
