Protecting Habitats
We're committed to protecting and enhancing Tenterden’s natural habitats, which are vital to supporting our local wildlife.
Our core initiatives focus on:
Tree planting and woodland expansion
Hedgerow preservation and extension
Creating interconnecting green corridors
Wilding Green Spaces
Pond restoration
By collaborating with other conservation bodies such as Kent Wildlife Trust, the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, the Local Nature Recovery Strategy, and the Rother & Romney Catchment Partnership, we’re helping map priority habitats across the region for future conservation.
We’re also championing a Chemical-Free Tenterden, collaborating with the Town Council, Kent County Council, and Ashford Borough Council to phase out herbicide use on streets and pavements.
